Reduced Payments

Use the Reduced Payments page to view invoices that were paid in an amount less than the original invoice because of an outstanding debt to the U.S. Treasury. Use the Add Filters button to limit or expand the results on the page.

Note: Payment data not associated with Purchase Orders or Invoices is not available after 18 months.

Permissions

Payment-related links and data are only visible if you have the View Payments permission assigned to one of your roles. Due to the sensitive nature of tax-related payment data, to view details about Treasury offsets for a reduced payment, you must have the Treasury Offset Details role (which includes the View Payments permission). Contact your IPP Collector Administrator if you need additional roles or permissions.

The information in the following table describes the Reduced Payments page.

Field Name

Description

TIN

The vendor Tax Identification number.

Payee Name

The name of the vendor.

Payment Type

The type of payment that was made: ACH, check, or wire transfer.

Invoice #

The number of the invoice.

PO #/Blanket PO #

The purchase order or Blanket purchase order number associated with the invoice.

Agency

The name of the agency making the payment.

Payer Name

The name of the payer associated with the ALC who made the payment.

Amount

The amount of the payment.

Issue Date

The date the payment was process by the US Treasury.

Status

The status of the payment. The types of statuses are:

  • All - All invoices with all statuses

  • Settled Full - Entire invoiced amount is paid

  • Settled Reduced - Lesser amount than the invoice is paid because of an outstanding debt to the Treasury

  • Returned - Invoice is returned by financial institution

View button

The ACH Trace page displays a watermark that states, "Payment Reduced by US Treasury. To view the details of why the payment was reduced, a Collector user with Treasury Offset Detail permission can click the View Details button.
